The small but nice Capsule Wardrobe for the fall is ready to use: 15 pieces – 15 outfits. Of course, many more outfits are possible, but I want to prove in this post that even 15 parts can be combined in many ways. And hopefully, after the post, some may wonder why we have so many clothes. Do we really need that much?
After getting a glimpse of my minimalist wardrobe, I picked out 15 pieces of clothing for the fall, which I combine in different ways. Since my wardrobe does not include many clothes anyway, the selection of the 15 pieces was rather easy for me.
Capsule Wardrobe for the Fall – 15 Clothing Pieces
Now short and crisp to the selection of Capsule Wardrobe for the fall. The 15 garments include a total of 6 tops, 3 jackets consisting of blazer, cardigan and rain jacket as well as 3 pants, 1 dress and 2 pairs of shoes.
- 3x T-Shirt (black, beige, white)
- 1x blouse white
- 2x sweater (black, dark green)
- 1x knit cardigan
- 1x blazer black
- 2x jeans (black, blue)
- 1x pleated trousers
- 1x dress
- 2x shoes (white, black)
- 1x rain jacket
Possible combinations for tops + pants + pair of shoes:
6 tops x 3 pants x 2 pairs of shoes = 36 combinations
with or without blazer / cardigan: 36 x 2 = 72 combinations
Rain jacket: 72 x 2 = 144 combinations
Possible combinations for the dress:
1 dress x 2 pairs of shoes = 2 combinations
with blazer / cardigan: 2 x 2 = 4 combinations
Would you have thought that with the selection of 15 garments a total of more than 140 combinations are possible?
So that the 15 individual outfits do not get mixed up or are simply published here abruptly, I subdivide them first of all into my three favorite basic parts. Each of these basic parts has been combined three times differently, so you can already see here how varied a single piece can be combined.
PS: The rain jacket has been omitted in the outfits, so they do not cover the lower parts too much. After all, it is more exciting to see the individual combinations.
The White T-shirt
The white T-shirt is in my opinion a must-have for every wardrobe. The basic part suits everything and can be combined in many ways. Whether under a cardigan, blazer or dress: It always fits. Due to my fall selection, the white color tends to strike darker shades. But that does not always have to be. The white T-shirt looks great even with a bright trench coat.
The White Blouse
The white blouse is slightly cut over-sized and actually even one size too big. If it is too cool or wet outside, the blouse outfit will only be completed with the rain jacket. A blazer or cardigan is no longer pulled over the blouse, as it is through the over-sized cut to uncomfortable. Therefore, I do not wear tight garments over loose garments. Looks only partially good.
The Black T-Shirt
The black T-shirt is the third basic part, which suits everything and can be combined incredibly diverse. In particular, I like to wear completely black looks, because in my opinion they look elegant and chic . Since I do not always want to present holistic black outfits, I have not combined the black T-shirt for once with a pair of black jeans. Here we would have found another missing outfit. You see: 15 garments can be combined so wonderfully – if the colors harmonize well with each other.
Finally, you get to see the remaining 6 outfits. The other tops (T-shirt cream, sweater black and sweater dark green) were each tightened twice and combined with the different pants. Over the sweaters a blazer or cardigan could actually be even dressed. This combination is recommended for colder days.
The Favorite Outfit
Short and quickly to my favorite outfit. Although I know that I feel just as comfortable in all outfits and all like to wear, I have to admit that I liked a few outfits visually better during the shootings. Outfits 9, 11, 14 and – especially – Outfit 15 have pleased me on the recordings. Outfit 15 is an outfit that somehow still seemed “brand new” to me. By “brand new” I mean the style I wear. The outfit reminds me a bit of the outfit of Don’t panic – only in color. Even if the outfit reflects me 100%, I still see myself in my classic uniform: jeans, T-shirt, blazer. However, as I note here, I should have absolutely detached myself from the typical constellation consisting of a jeans, shirt and a blazer.
